At Y&R, Retailmenot came to us with an interesting challenge: Turn a coupon “aggregator” website into an actual brand—and into a brand people actually love. “Yours for the Saving” was a multi-channel consumer and B2B campaign that demonstrated how Retailmenot was dedicated to the noble mission of bringing people and the things they love together through the power of saving. Based on buyer insights, the campaign explored the psychology of purchasing, but also the psychology of not-purchasing. Retailmenot quickly saw a significant increase in click-through rates, app downloads, and most importantly, brand consideration. And we learned an important lesson: it’s not easy to fit a washing machine in a shopping cart.
