Project: Set the Page Free:

Integrated Advertising / Activation / Web Design / Social / Content / Live Event

To showcase Xerox’s digital document technologies, we launched an epic-scale integrated campaign at Y&R, in partnership with the iconic 92Y. Rolled out over 8 weeks, “Project: Set the Page Free” challenged 14 ingenious, world-famous talents to write “the ultimate book of the modern workplace” together. Uncensored, they could write anything, in any form they chose. The one rule? They had to work and collaborate using Xerox new digital apps, software and printers. “Project: Set the Page Free” included a web experience, 7 author films, 4 podcasts, 1 exclusive-release Aimee Mann song, hundreds of social and influencer posts, a live multi-author book launch, and the publication of the final book Speaking of Work: A Story of Love, Suspense and Paperclips currently available at Barnes & Noble. The cover was created by world-renowned book designer Chip Kidd on an actual Xerox machine.

The Stories Unfold:

We launched Setthepagefree.com at the project kick-off. There, chapter-by-chapter, fans could track the book progress in real-time. They could view author films, see behind-the-scene photos, listen to podcasts, read previewed excerpts and, of course, learn about the featured Xerox technology.

The Denoument:

The literary mecca, the 92Y, served as our cultural partner to enlist world-class talent and help bring this one-of-a kind book to life. Speaking of Work: A Story of Love, Suspense and Paperclips was launched with a live video cast 9-author reading from their historic auditorium stage, where just about every work of genius has premiered in the past 150 years.
